Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information Bradford IT Guy collects when you shop with us, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

When you place an order or create an account: your name, email address, phone number, and shipping/billing address, plus your order history if you have an account. We collect only what's needed to process orders, provide support, and meet our tax and accounting obligations.

Payment information

We don't see or store your full card details. Card payments are handled directly by Square, our payment processor - your card number is tokenized in your browser and sent straight to them, not to our servers.

Cookies

We use cookies for functional purposes only: keeping you signed in, remembering what's in your cart, an optional "remember me" for faster sign-in, and recently viewed products. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't run third-party analytics.

How we use your information

To process and deliver orders, respond to questions, and manage your account if you have one. We don't send marketing email unless you ask us to, and we never sell your information to anyone.

Who we share it with

Only the services we need to fulfil your order: Square for payment processing, the shipping carrier to deliver your package, and our email provider to send order confirmations and account messages. We don't share your information with anyone else, and none of these providers may use it for their own marketing.

How long we keep it

We keep order records as long as we're required to for tax and accounting purposes. If you ask us to delete your account, we'll remove what we can while still meeting those obligations for past orders.

Your choices

Ask us at any time for a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted, using the contact form. We'll respond within a reasonable time, consistent with Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA).

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including encrypting data in transit and limiting who on our team can access it. No method of storing or transmitting data online is completely risk-free, but we work to keep yours safe.

Children's privacy

Our store is intended for adults making purchases. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children, and if we learn that we have, we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, the version shown here is the one that applies - check the date at the bottom of this page.
